What discount code? If you qualify for gunsmith pricing, the "discount" happens when you log in.

I get the gunsmith discount at Brownells. In past years they have given out a code for an additional 10% at shot show. It is generally posted on boards and everyone uses it for awhile.

This year it seems like they made some changes to that.

I had posted this in the shot show forum which may have made that a little clearer, but it got moved.

If you have a catalog, it's there. Look at the numbers and letters to the left of the price.

e.g.

23H44 with the price $28.50 Discount price is $23.44 for that item.

Not all items in Brownells are discounted. Tools mostly.

Unless you have an FFL or otherwise qualify you can't get the "dealer discount" anyway. Are you worried that someone is stiffing you on prices?

I don't mean this as a thread hijack, but it seems to go along: what is up with Brownell's prices? They seem to be at MSRP or even higher on most items. I've been buying from MidwayUSA for 6-7 years and their prices are mostly reasonable; rarely the cheapest, but rarely MSRP. What am I missing? Does anyone other than FFLs and gunsmiths buy from Brownells?

I believe Brownell's is primarily a wholesale supplier to the gun trade/dealers/retail stores etc and not a retail store in & of itself for the off the street consumer. Hence, why they show two prices for most items. I believe they will sell to anyone for the MSRP type prices. MidWay USA also has "dealer/gunsmith" pricing.

As a vendor to Brownell's and Midway, we require that they sell our products at MSRP. This policy eliminates the potential for a price war, and guarantees the value of our products and the profitability of our wholesalers.
