I just purchased a CVA Scout V2 in 300 Blackout and can't chamber a round in it. It looks like the extractor is not letting it align with the chamber. Anybody else ever seen this happen?

Was that the only round?

The whole back half of the case looks scratched up. What does the chamber look like?

Now I see a different image? I agree with 50 shooter. I see a cartridge in an inverted image half way in the chamber. With no cartridge what does the chamber look like? It looks like the extractor is pushing against the case wall? Something strange about it.

I had to change the picture, I posted the wrong one. I tried reloads and factory ammo, I think the scratches are from the extractor. The round will not center up to chamber. I'm calling CVA tomorrow. Chamber looks smooth.

Where is the extractor located in location to the magazine? Is it dragging on the loaded ammo as it sits at the top of the magazine? Something is tearing up your cases and causing them to misfeed/jam.

I think the picture got changed mid- thread.

I never saw a case picture.

The one showing now appears a blank extractor got installed without being reamed to match the .30 BH chamber.

Either that, or it's a replacement for a smaller caliber.

At any rate, the extractor needs to be cut to match the chamber by somebody.

Yeah the first pic was just a case that was scratched from the shoulder area to the rear of the case. If I had seen the pic shown now I wouldn't have asked a dumb question.

OK at least I am not losing it.... yet. :) The pictures had me.

I would get on the phone as that extractor looks fully extended, something just isn't right. I agree with RC in that it looks like an unfinished blank or something is just not right. You may want to send them the picture as it shows why a round won't chamber. You are sure the extractor will not run back in?
