I am interested in seeing if anyone has ever seen or heard of a carbine kit for the Ruger MkII. To the best of my knowledge, no such thing exists, but if it has or does, I would like to see a pic. I am a major MkII fan, but I have always enjoyed looking at the Buckmark carbines, and the NEOS carbines. Anyway, I was just curious to see if it exists, is all.

Note that the serialized portion of the MkII is the _upper_ receiver assembly, not the lower.

Given that the longest MkII barrels, that I know of, were 10", you'd have to either to major barrel-hacking and splicing work to get a carbine barrel, or make an entire Ruger-clone 16" MkII assembly from scratch.

I'm gonna guess no on that one.

Wassamatter, the Buckmark carbine got you jealous? Those are way cool, but I just don't have any practical reason to buy one. Not that I have any practical reason to buy a Dixie Consolidated 10/22 bullpup, but that's beside the point.

haha, I wouldn't say jealous! No, for some reason I just think .22 pistol carbine kits are neat. I literally have no practical purpose for one, but "cool" counts for something, I guess. Actually, if anything has me jealous, it's the NEOS. At least with that one you can switch back and forth from pistol to carbine! Again, no practical purpose, but it is pretty rad.
