Carbon Fiber p22

That's pretty slick. Is that just the finish or the actual material the firearm is fabricated from? I would have to guess it is just a finish since that sounds like the price of a standard one; am I correct in that? But I can already see one obvious problem with it-- it would be alot cooler if it was a carbon fiber P99 :D :D

Hahah, yeah I agree with that.

I stumbled across that while checking out some class 3s... tee hee hee...

That 6 month wait would sure be a pain in the ass though...

Anybody know where you could just buy the frame? The P22 lets you snap on new furniture to it apparently. FYI the frame itself isn't the serial numbered part, or at least not the part that you see.

Nothing turned up in my Google searches.

Why do these websites say 'carbon fiber frame'? It looks like plastic with the CF look on them, like my sunglasses and holster.

It'll match that Fabarm FP6 though!

I saw one at a show a few weeks ago. It looked pretty cool but it`s just printed on the standard plastic frame. Marcus

Yep, its a finish. applied much like the camo finish on shotguns. its a dip process.
While doing some testing for a company that does the dip type finish, a co-worker had all his paintball stuff dipped in CF.Its relatively cheap.

And how much would it cost to get my Supra dipped in this stuff...?

...or how about my arm?!

Erm... I mean, "How do they do a dip that makes that pattern..?"

Carbon fiber is a weave of carbon fibers. When it's infused with polymer you get that extemely good looking pattern. There are some knife handles I've seen that look excellent. None of the online pictures I looked at capture the 3D effect and the reflectivity of the knife handles I've seen.

Carbon fiber composite can be as thin as paper and still be damn strong.
