On CSPAN, requires Realplayer. Fast forward to approximately 36:00 minutes.

Link is on CSPAN.org, main Page. Look for "Day 3, part 1" Video.....

Once again assault weapons will be on the streets, and criminals will
be able to easily buy them...blah blah blah....

Quote: "We won't have to go to Iraq to find WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION"

Lies, and the lying liars who tell them :cuss:

I think this is the direct link:

After watching that, I had to grab my MAK-90 and rub it for a while so I could feel better.

:D

This woman is obviously delusional. You can't blame her. She comes from Long Island. Just about every single person I ever met from NY state or city is anti-gun. They have an anti-gun culture up there. If you are a gun owner in NY you are perhaps a member of one of Americans smallest minorities.

Living in a culture/world like that, add the democratic bias, add all the negative media propaganda and lies - and you mass produce anti-gunners by the 1,000's.

Perhaps if throughout NY a gun culture DID exist, a deterrent against such massacres and violence would also exist.

I cannot stand these LIARs who claim that NY is safe and these places are safe. They are all fools or ignorant. I have lived in NY for 3 years, and I know it is no where near as safe anywhere in that state as Florida is. Almost everyone up there just lives there life knowing that crime is a problem and it is almost 2nd nature to just live with it by being paranoid and looking over your shoulder or having 4 deadbolts on your door. Don't go out at night, lock up everything with bars, you have to act and move differently in public.....

That is like being a prisoner in your own community.

Sure, no matter where you live, you should always keep your guard up - no doubt, but allow the law-abiding citizens to have a means of defending themselves!

McCarthy's husband might be here today had someone on that train been a CWP holder.

I guess I'm one of those endangered species known as a NY gun-owner. No, I don't live in that rotten, festering pus-hole called NYC. If you go out of NYC and the Capital (Albany) area, you'll find quite an active, if quiet, hunting and fishing and GASP -- handgun culture. There are rod and gun clubs all over the place. I personally know of 18 shooting ranges within an hour of my house.

Unfortunately, this is the one of the few states in the Union (another being IL) where a major metropolis dominates the politics for the entire state.

CCW permits are pretty much shall-issue in many CNY and Western NY counties. Cortland, Cayuga, and Oswego Counties around Syracuse all issue without restrictions. Onondaga (Syracuse) issues all permits with hunting and target restrictions. Yes, you have to apply for apermit to even own a gun in NY. Yes, it takes about 3-4 months, or up to 6 months in some cases. It is valid until revoked by the county judge. And it is good everywhere in the state except for NYC.

As far as elected officials, with the urban rats from NYC having the hordes of sheeple voting, we always end up with the likes of Schumer, Clinton, and McCarthy representing us. Many folks Upstate would love to see NYC become part of NJ. It almost would be worth the loss of revenue.

NY has plenty of gunowners relative to it's population. Unfortunately it's mostly "hunters" who own guns as tools. It has fewer "shooters" and a very small minority who will actively work to repeal gun laws. Then again, you can't blame them as they have very little political clout up there in a state where Republicans are more liberal than most state's Democrats.

THAT is not even funny!!! :fire: :cuss:

We have enough idiots to deal with on our own!!!:neener:

Let NYC become it's own festering craphole of a state. Change the name back to New Amsterdam to avoid confusion.

While we're at it, we can make SF, LA, and Chicago states of their own as well.

By my math, that's +2 Senators for the Dems (LA) and +6 for the GOP (when those states lose their big blue cities):D

If her husband had been killed with a knife or baseball bat, would she be crying that we should ban them?

Just a thought

Not only do I live in the area - I live in McCarthy's Congressional district! :barf:

I'm also a LIRR commuter - like her husband.

Totally ignored in her victimhood status is the fact that the laws she supports and calls for are precisely the lawns that ensured that no one aboard that train the night Ferguson started blasting was able to defend themselves.

There are plenty of firearms owners on Long Island. However, it is extremely difficult to get a concealed carry permit.

We are left defenseless and vulnerable to the likes of Ferguson and worse (who have little respect for laws banning murder - nevermind concealed carry prohibitions) because of McCarthy and her ilk.

As a result of the LIRR shooting, now NYPD and other LEOs are allowed to travel on the railroad for free. Implicit in this is the intention that there will be an armed response onboard such trains in the event of future attacks. Of course, this again ignores the plain hard truth that lives would have been saved if armed law abiding citizens were aboard that train that evening.

In light of those like McCarthy being all too common in this state and region, I've already gone about building my "arsenal" of EBRs, magazines and ammunition.

Things will only get worse for law abiding firearms owners in this region.
