Looking at the RCBS Pro-2 Kit or the Lyman AccuTrimmer Kit. Both on sale at Midway. Need to trim some .38/.357 and .44 Mag Brass. I have RCBS Carbide Trim Dies for all rifle cartridges but have never needed to trim straight walled pistol cartridges before. Dipping into my range pickup reserve and wanted to even everything up.

Has anyone used either of these or has another entry level suggestion that works well? Thanks in advance, Bill

Perhaps a better version of the Lee trimmer, But who trims handgun brass?

I actually have quite a few that are on the long side .357 mostly. Wanted to clean them all up and make them uniform as they vary quite a bit in the other calibers as well. As a rule I occasionally measure and throw long cases to the side. This will allow me to make them all the same.

I've only used it for rifle, but the Hornady cam-lock trimmer has worked pretty well for me. It uses Hornady shell holders instead of a universal-fit arrangement.
