CCW Northern Virginia

Hi Everyone,

My fiance finally saw the light and wants us to get Virginia CCWs (after a couple years of my efforts to convince her). Can anyone recommend a good place to go for the NRA cert. class. in Prince William County, Manassas, or the general Springfield area? Ideally, somewhere where she, as a somewhat novice shooter, will feel comfortable with the instruction.

Back when I lived in NoVA I helped out with Piedmont NRA Instructors.

The NRA range has classes and it's website has a list of local ranges that provide the training as well.

However, I would suggest you try Gilbert's Small Arms range. It's address reads Lorton, but it's RIGHT off of 95, just outside of Springfield. They have good classes, the price is more than reasonable. (It's where I did my training, too) However, downside is there's like a 3 mo waitlist- which is not all that uncommon in the NoVa area...

Oh, also- Gilbert's is Hidden in the back of a shopping area- you'd never know it to be there. Ask around once you get into the area and you should be able to find it.
