When one moves from one state (with a CWP) to another state who recognizes that CWP can you carry until you meet the state's residency requirements and take the test/receive your new permit?
It depends. What state are you looking to move to, and where from? Colorado has a good reciprocity, recognizing my Georgia permit 90 days after I got my Colorado DL. Consequently, Colorado is shall issue within 90 days...so it worked out well for me.
Under most circumstances I can't see why not, but it is going to depend on the laws of the state you move to. I suggest contacting their attorney general's office.
You can always get a non-resident CWP that is recognized by the state you are going to. Not a bad thing to have to help cover states that your resident permit won't cover.
I'm also from SC, have a CWP, but also have carry permits from FL and PA. One of those 3 cover me just about anywhere I care to go that allows carry at all.

That also depends on the state. In Texas, for example, that would be a valid route to take, but other states require the permit be issued by the person's state of residence and others require their own residents to have an in-state permit.
