So it appears a new handgun will be entering the market soon. When folded up it looks like an iPhone. When unfolded it becomes a two shot .380 pistol. And of course some in Congress already want to ban it. Here is a link to the Yahoo News article. https://www.yahoo.com/news/schumer-wants-investigation-gun-looks-phone-201656593.html?bcmt=comments-postbox
Putting the obvious comments about Any Other Weapon, practicality and the political angle of banning it aside, my biggest question is; in states that do not allow open carry, would having this device exposed in public fail the "concealed" smell test with local law enforcement?
What I was told in an Instructors training session hosted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is if an officer can touch any part of your gun or holster without moving your clothing then it is not concealed and you could potentially be cited for brandishing. So it doesn't seem to pass the smell test here for concealed. However, you can legally wear a Sneaky Pete holster outside your clothing and not get tagged for brandishing proving our carry laws are vague at best.
But back to my original question, do you think having this device exposed in public is going to pass the concealed test in most states that do not allow open carry?
