Just so everyone is aware this brand is the lowest of the low and frankly unless you can find them for $3 a magazine as I have and are able to find new mag springs and Magpul anti tilt USGI followers for a penance you should avoid them at all cost. Nothing beats a brand new pmag

I have not fired these mags with the rebuild guts however I have depressed followers with an extended punch and have found function to be expected.

I bought these mags due to them being pre ban with government only atf statements on the side.

Way made me laugh out of the lot of mags I bought was OKAY industry.

We didn't get the best mags, we didn't get the worst, we got the okay
I had a few colt military mags with my first ar. I wound up selling it to a friend I miss those government issue things. But I’d bet money my p mags run better.

I had a 20 round colt Vietnam era box mag I loved to use for prone and kneeling events of fire.

The only reason I bought these mags is for the date codes. I don't know if any AWB legislation will ever take place but from other state bans date of manufacturing is the new BIG IDEA.

I figured make them right now and tuck them away for a rainy day.

I have some of those magazines, along with Okay, Brownells, C Products, Bushmaster-branded, some with no markings on the bottom, a few others with “ranger plates” on them so I don’t know who made them, a few Colt mags, even some steel-bodied ones I cant recall the name of or where I got them. When they are old or worn any of them will be balky.

You are absolutely right about using the new springs and magpul followers with older metal magazines, I do the same with all of mine as well. Brings them back from the dead for sure.

Stay safe.

C-Products makes steel-bodied GI-styled 20-rounders, which IME are junk.
H&K makes heavy-gauge 30-round steel mags (and there are Korean copies of them), that I rather like- though they are crazy heavy, lol. Ive read from former Marines that the H&Ks didn't like playing in the sandbox, but Ive never had an issue with them.
No problems with the OKAYs, Lancers, Hexmags, or even the Promag roller mags. Ive even had good luck with the old green Colts.:)

When I started in ARs, ‘05/‘06, I purchased C products & 1st Gen Pmags at the same time. I’ve ONLY used Pmags since and not a single one has let me down.

In the last couple years, I did get a couple of those “2 Amend” mags. I’ll say they are very nice as well. But they are more expensive than the $12 for Pmags. LOL, just ordered another Pmag yesterday. I do that whenever I order make any order but need a few dollars more to get to $50 for the “FREE SHIPPING”. So I throw in a Pmag. They were $12, the 2Amend were $14.

The 3 or 4 steel ones I have are 30-rounders, but since they’re not marked on the sides or floorplate I don’t know who made them.

I have read the newer generations of 30-round Pmags are much better than the first. Years back our office bought a bunch of the Gen 1 Pmags for our M-4’s, within a few years every one was pulled after the bodies started to split on the front seam where the sides were molded together. They were used a lot and subjected to wild temperature extremes, so it didn’t surprise me that the seams finally started showing the strain and giving up. I soured on them and have stayed away. (Since I have at least 75-80 of the other ones I don’t see much of a need to buy more.)

I do have some short 10-round Pmags ( I am in Ca, they’re sold everywhere) for range/bench use and those have held up well.

Stay safe.

They're expensive and they make them in higher capacity.

They were built to last a lifetime, PRI makes some great products.

I dont doubt they are good mags, but I have reservations about any plastic follower (or spring for that matter) lasting indefinitely. They dont list any .223 mags larger than 15 rounds on the website?

If the choice is one PRI or three P-mags for the same price.....

Yeah… the 15rds alone is enough I would bypass them. But $40ea!!? Nooo thank you! I get 3 30rd Pmags for that. And I’ve never had a single Pmag crack. No, I haven’t put them through combat, but eh.

I'll bet shooters in New Jersey will pay that.
But other than cap limited states, I can't see any other demand for pricey 15 round mags.
And BTW, E-Lander makes 15 round steel bodied AR mags, and they're quit a bit cheaper than that. I have a few I run when shooting from a tabletop or in my Ruger American Ranch
