At one of my 1000 local Wal-Marts, there is a semi Charles Daly in 20-Ga for $250. I'm not going to buy it, but is this a good price. Keep in mind, that I live in non-fascist Texas, so minimum wage here is 6.50.

I bought one for my wife a few months ago and it is a solid gun. 1,000 rounds and not one hiccup. It has been very solid. And for 250bucks how can you go wrong?

The current CD line of shotguns has more returns for repair than any other make of shotgun. $250 or not, it is still junk.

That is not true with the new ones built in the last few years. The Turkish manufactures now have state of the art manufacture facilities using CNC machines. In a few years the Turkish made shotguns are going to be considered one of the top shotguns made.

Here are some of the well known manufactures/importers that put their name on Turkish made shotguns. Some of them are built by the same Turkish manufacture as the Charles Daly shotguns.

Marlin H&R, Weatherby, Beretta/Stoeger, Mossberg, S&W, Charles Daly

I had one of their 12ga 3.5" autos a few years ago and was not impressed. it liked to light strike primers and misfire. Traded it toward an 870 and didn't look back.

Might have been easily fixed. Even 870's can have malfunctions as well. I had an 870 that jammed like nobody's business with Federal 3" shells.

Yeah but a quick chamber polish usually takes care of things like that.

Not sure of their present turn around times, but at the time I had mine CD had a lousy rep for customer service. I know there have been changes, but that was then this is now.

Never regretted that particular decision.
