Disclaimer: Just because I have the word "Glock: in my username, doesn't mean I'm narrow minded.

Colt XSE Lightweight Commander, Combat Commander, or Government Model. It's the same price or less and has a more reliable firing pin block safety. The New Roll Mark 1991s are very nice as well and less expensive.

It you're going to spend this much you might as well buy a Colt.

Neither

If you have the funds for a Kimber, add a few hundred dollars to them and
get yourself a Les Baer TRS or Premeire II. :scrutiny: You won't regret it~!

But, if you just gott'a have a Kimber and its for CCW purposes, get the
Stainless Ultra Carry II .45 ACP. ;):D

None of the above. I had three bad Kimbers. Three up, three down, you are out. My friend bought a Kimber, and it was bad. I have heard rumors of good Kimbers, but only personally know ONE guy who said his was reliable. So, that makes 4 bad ones out of 5, among Kimbers owned by me or personal friends. Your mileage may vary. I have had good luck with full-sized, five-inch 1911 pistols made by Colt, Springfield, and Les Baer.

I have 3 Kimbers and they all perform flawlessly. I have 2 full size and an Ultra. I picked the Pro because I don't have one yet. Either the Proo or Ultra. either one would be great. 1" differnce and a few ounces.

P.S.: Les Baer IS worth the extra money. Mine is a Thunder Ranch Special. I am considering a Premier II or Monolith. Or, perhaps another TRS, one of which would get an adjustable rear sight.

I've got five Kimbers. Four of the five are Ultras. I favor the 3 inch models.

Of your choices I like the Tactical but I like it as the Tactical Ultra II.:)

I just bought a Ultra Covert II. Nice gun but a little on the expensive side.

Between the three, I chose the Custom II. Primiarly because fullsize 1911s are usually more reliable than the short barrel 1911s.

Dang, I can't believe people are recommending Les Baers in this thread. But, if you can swing it... I wholeheartedly agree. :D

check out the CZ dan wesson...sweet gun, chambered in .45 or 10mm, has a bobbed tail and it's tight with beautiful wood grips. i sprung on a sig but this was a 2nd choice over the same kimbers you have listed. if it was a kimber go tactical!
