My church is having a "range day" on July 15th. We are going to start off with an informal clay target shoot. After that, those who want are going to stay for rifle and handgun shooting. This is all with the blessings of our church leaders, some of who will be participating.
We had a sign up sheet that went on the bulletin board Sunday and we are already full on the first page and working on the second. Great response!!
The range is going to open 2 hours early for us, so we will have the range to ourselves for a while.
I just thought this to be a very nice thing for a church to be doing.

Congratulations--

Some try to get women to shoot cause they VOTE-others cause if MOM shoots EVERYONE shoots including the dog. Get the MOMS and they wont be at the soccer field. Then get them to bring some soccer Moms along for the next outing.

I'm not the church-going type anymore, but I think that's actually really cool.

Hope y'all have a great time.

I guess the phrase "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" will have an especially true significance, huh?

:D

Memorial Day picinic

I am friends with a number of folks that go to a church in Hiram, Oh. Too far to drive every Sun. a.m., but I get invited to their picinic every Memorial Day. Busting clays and .22 plinking goes well with B-B-Q. Kids and ladies get in on it too. Much fun. I get to collect hulls, too.

I'm surprised to hear that, with the whole anti-gun tendancy by many people now-a-days...

Have fun
