Yup, LEE will replace that shellholder. You'll be out a buck to send it back.

RC: I believe that you are focused on the primer too much. I also believe the OP is referring to the light imprint outside the primer area, through the headstamp. just visible near the bottom of the L in LUGER

I'm cheap, but I won't pay a buck to exchange a $3 POS for another. I'll spend another 5 and get something decent. A photo and an e-mail should suffice to get a free replacement, without the expense and bother to ship the old one back. If not, I'd move on.

Not picking on anyone, sorry if you take it that way.

Just mentioned 2 facts of living.

If the circle bothers you that much, toss what you have and purchase new equipment, not that big a thing.

Perhaps if you could borrow a Lee shell holder and see if you can duplicate the "ring". If you can't, you have a compelling basis to call Lee customer service and talk to the friendly ladies.

Hmm, there's a thought. The OP said the brass was "nice and purdy" and new but with SS pin polishing rigs very commonly used these days, the question must be asked where were these bought and from whom. Was it a factory?

Are you using a "bulge buster" it looks like the ring from the push rod.
OP is having issues with 9mm cases. While the "Bulge Buster" kits use FCD to push-through resize the bulged "straight walled" semi-auto cases, it won't work with tapered 9mm cases and you'll note the "Bulge Buster" kit is not available for 9mm - http://leeprecision.com/case-conditioning-tools/lee-bulge-buster-kit/
NOTE: 9mm cases are not able to be used in the Bulge Buster because it has a slightly tapered case

You know--some of you guys could be making money trolling--this is an election year.
500 of these cases purchased from MidwayUSA---NEW CASES--NOT USED

OK, I guess you think I'm trolling, even tho I did not post any replys till post 29. You seem to have a minor problem with something leaving a ring on new brass, it bothers you, so obviously you wish a fix to the problem.

I have no idea what you might need to do to fix this, personnally I wouldn't worry about it but thats not good enough for you. So I hope you find a solution to this and let all the rest of us know what to do in the future.

Good luck.
