Classic Firearms has lost me as a customer

They called me this morning and they're charging me $15 because they had the wrong FFL address. I tried to inform the lady, who kept cutting me off and told me their phones were down, that their website didn't have any option for ordering and not specifying an FFL (and emailing/faxing it afterward) and so I had to select an outdated address in their system. Her response: "well you shouldn't have ordered, then."

I may give them another shot in the future, but this has not been a pleasant experience. Both women I spoke to were very curt and didn't give me the chance to fully explain. I understand they're busy...

Some software has a problem that as a file size increases (pages in a composition file, logged in users on a website) the program pointers used to manage the file increase exponentially (not just 1 for 1, but some multiple for 1) until the program runs out of memory.

Obamacare website worked fine in tests until it reached 1,100 simultaneously signed on users.

Question is, should Classic Firearms upgrade to a system that accomodates "fire sale" sales volume, which happened with the $99 Mosin sale, or is a system that handles ordinary everyday traffic economical and adequate?

Here is a great resource EVERYONE should add to their bookmarks. It tests if the website is failing to load for everyone or there's a loose wire on your end. That'll narrow down future issues http://isup.me/

Whew!

I sure can't see where $99.00 for a M.N. 91/30's seconds (grade B) are worth getting that worked up about.

For a few dollars more you can get one with good stocks and bore in very good condition.

Well, good for you. You have learned a valuable lesson early, that quality trumps cheap every day of the week.

However, the majority of people will still drive 20 miles to save a nickle on gas, and bitch at the cash register if YOUR ammo is 50cents a box more than at Walmart (despite Walmart not having any)

Yep.

I decided long ago to buy the best quality product I could afford at that time as the poor quality of the product lives long after the cheapness of the price is gone. That does not mean I look down at someone who can only afford $99.00 for a rifle. Only that I am sure it is good enough quality to meet my needs.
