A few months ago I was told, and verified on the site, that wait times for rifles from the CMP were taking several months. Some people even mentioned waiting for 4 or 5 months to get their rifles.

Well, I checked the site recently and it says delivery times are "up to 60 days". Does anyone know if that's true or if the deliver times are shorter or longer than 60 days?

Two months (several months) are 60 days.

I'd say they know what their shipping times would be. Their output is somewhat based on supply and condition of the firearms.

Personally, I don't think 60 to 90 days is too bad. After all, I've waited for many years to get one, so to me, the wait isn't unreasonable.

Of course, different folks have different expectations.

Utilize your wait time by going to the CMP forum and learning all that you can.

Take a part-time job to earn more money for HXP ammo. :D

My last one I received within one month from mailing my forms in. I sent in my last forms on 18 March, and got my DBU email yesterday. I'll report when I get the HRA in.

You can also drive over, pick out the one you want, pay for it and walk out the door with it. They'll even help you choose the right one.

Forever.

Or it just seems like it :D

Hourly checks to EStore (wonder why their site has server problems?) have proved that all my rifle orders since December have shipped within 1 month of my order's receipt.

It's 8.5 hours away. I used to have to drive 6 hours and sit in some stupid meeting for 4 hours after that, every year for awhile. Coming back with a Garand seems well worth it. I wish I could spare the xtra 600 bucks I'd be in the truck right now. Although too bad they don't have anymore Springfield 03s . . .

Last one arrived a few weeks ago, delivery in 30 days but that was before the big ammo rush

If my truck would make that drive, I'd be up at the buttcrack of dawn and on the road to go pick one up. But my vehicle situation keeps me from doing that so I'll have to order one and make the drive out there with the next Garand or maybe an M1 Carbine.
