While working to help pass a new version of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act this spring, I signed up with an anti mailing list called the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence because it was handy for sending mass emails to representatives. I just inserted my own text instead of the group's childish blather and let it fly.
Now these simpering twits are working to oppose S 397/HR 800, which protects gun manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits, so I used their server to send the following email:
It's kind of handy to be a member of such groups. It lets you know what they are up to, and gives you a means of counteracting their stupidity. It's important to know the enemy's plans.

As your constituent, I strongly urge you to support S 397/HR 800 that would protect the gun industry from unreasonable and frivolous litigation.
Frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers are as ill-conceived and reckless as lawsuits directed at the auto industry when an accident was caused by a drunken driver.
S 397/HR will help protect an industry that is important to America's economy and even more important to America's defense. If the radical anti-Second Amendment groups have their way, America will be forced to rely on importation for its defensive small arms. Please do not let this happen. Please support S 397/HR.
