Colt 1911XSE Government to Commander

Is there any cool way to just buy a Commander size Slide Assembly and pick which one I want to carry that day? Government or Commander? So I would have 2 slides and one lower...

Does Colt sell just the Commander Slide assemebly for this or would I have to go all aftermarket on it? Thanks in advance....

There re dimensional differences in the Govt and Commander frames that would make a swap slide 1911 difficult. The dust cover length and recoil spring seat dimensions are different on the Commander. I just finished building a Commander on a full size frame and had to alter these two areas.
