Colt DA Tiffany grips reproduction?

Says "Eagle AW (c) 70" on bottom of grip. Has allen head screws on both sides near the bottom center of grip. I did a quick google of Colt revolver grips and didn't see anything that looked like it might match.

They are not Tiffany Grips. Tiffany grips are works of art, a bit over the top for my taste, but still works of art. If They were Tiffanys you would see a couple of zeros after the 42. Have you researched Eagle grips. Whoops. you said reproductions. I didn't se that the first time, well if they are they are not very good.

If nothing else, the Allen screws rule out anything very old. They are not single action army or any of the Colt percussion revolvers. I have no way to tell scale but they look like they might be for a Colt DA, like the Official Police.

I recall seeing grips similar to that being sold around 40 years ago, but they could be more recent. There is always a market for that kind of thing.

I very much doubt they are silver - plated cast zinc would be more likely.

If you're ever in NYC, yes NYC, go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They have an incredible arms and armor section with several Tiffany guns.

I've seen Tiffany grips, and those are not Tiffany's quality.

Those are junk. Not worth their price. Very lousy casting.
