Colt mags in a Sig P238?

Yes but it depends if they will lock back after the last round. Some of mags do, some don't. All of my shiny metal sig mags do though.
 
Just got back from gun show and bought a colt mustang mag and it fit perfectly. Cycled some rounds thru it and it did lock open on last round. Going to the range this week to test it out.

Mine locked back by hand, but not when fired.

I had to bend the followers some to keep them on-track to engage the slide lock lever. It was a PITA and took several tries to get it right.

If you can live without reliable slide lock on the last shot they are as you said, about half price.
