Here in Kansas, Concealed carry is fairly a new concept and quite a few businesses are posting signs making it a misdemeanor to enter that business with a gun and a CCW permit.

So, I'm tired of going to places, parking, going up to the door then turning around and going to their competitors. Is there an online publication of businesses that don't support concealed carry in my area so I can more easily avoid them?

Another note, If I wanted to rob a business I'd definitely consider a non-ccw supporting business first because I would know that nobody would have a way to defend themselves. Just a little side point.

Not sure if it like this in every state/county/city, but in MN, I believe the worst they can do is suggest you leave the establishement, if you refuse, then you can wait for the cops to come, and they will just give you a $25 dollar citation for trespassing or solicititation or whatever. That's what I got out of my concealed carry class anyway.

here they sent out a sheet of paper reinforcing what is taught in the classes... if you enter a building marked with the picture of a gun with a slash through it and you have your pistol with you, you are committing a Misdemeanor of Class B. This is the same as a drunk driving offense.

Now, if you're doing this at your local car lot that's one thing and a city building another. I think, in most cases, an employee at the car lot would just tell you no, leave. I went to a car lot (Davis Moore Nissan) recently and entered through a side entrance...there was no sign on the door. I then talked to a salesman for a while before they wanted to appraise my car for trade in. I went out to the car to pocket my valuables like the radar detector. I then came back to the building and saw the signs on the front entrance. I then spoke to the salesman about my dilemma...he said "no big deal, just leave your gun in your car." I replied "f&^% you. I want a manager, now." The manager came over and stated that the signs were not posted on side entrances by accident and they would fix the error. I told him that I will not be a criminal and A) leave my gun in a vehicle in open access, especially since they're going to look around in there for the appraisal and B) can't enter the building because it's a misdemeanor to do so with my pistol. He told me to simply "leave my gun in the car, and their staff will not touch it." This, again, is a crime in my state as I'm leaving it without any locking barrier between the appraiser and the firearm while it is not on my person.

I had already negotiated a very good deal on my Truck before this all happened, but I really should have walked out. I feel pretty bad for having supported those anti-gun nut suckers. I stood outside, in the cold, with my Springfield 1911 tucked neatly in it's concealed holster and waited patiently for my vehicle to return half an hour later where I dropped my pistol off in the glove box and finished the deal. I later informed the manager that I would be writing a complaint letter to the owner of the car lot about the situation that this policy puts CCW holders. The salesman, wiseass, said 'well your new truck has a valet key, so you could lock it up in glove box and this wouldn't be a problem at all'. Now I see why they have a no-gun policy, there employee's aren't smart enough to be trusted with a firearm.

Is their a Kansas Concealed Carry Association or something similar? I'm a neighbor to your north, and we rally at www.ccwne.com. We have a specific section addressing your post.
