I just ordered my first holster - a crossbreed supertuck for my M&P .40 fullsize - and I have some problems! it is actually very comfortable and seems to conceal the gun very well when I'm standing still. the problem is that it sticks out like a sore thumb when I bend over. is this normal, or am I doing something wrong? the fullsize m&P does have a fairly large handle, could it just be this simple?
sorry so vague, if you need any additional info, please let me know!

no that is not normal. I use the crossbreed with a full size 9mm Smith. It could be because you have not completely broke the holster in or your pants are two tight. I have worn mine in church, in the store and around LE and none of them had any clue that I was carrying.

not having a cross breed, my comments only apply to general carry...

try experimenting w/ holster position a little. i found the closer i got to the 6:00 position, the worse my gun printed.

i have found canting to help w/ concealability quite a bit. see if you can get some forward cant to your gun's position.

a good belt and tight fit on the holster-to-belt helps pin the holster better.

last... i doubt you print as much as you think you do.

MB, thanks for including the pics - that's very helpful. I also own a couple crossbreeds.

Since you say this is your first holster, I think this is one of those cases in which you see the gun because you know it's there. Others nearby will (1) not even notice you - much less that you're carrying something on your waist; and (2) assume any bulge they do notice is a phone or a leatherman or some other piece of equipment many of us carry these days.

I've been carrying daily for about 13 years now and I've never been made. Also, I consider myself to be fairly savvy and if I noticed you leaning over as in picture 2, I'd assume that was a phone carried horizontally.

Hope this helps

thank you guys for all the info! it makes me feel a lot better. I am planning on adjusting the cant a little bit, but most of this seems like paranoia. I guess it'll take a little longer to get used to the idea of carrying. another thing is that since I don't really carry any tools or a phone (at least not one on a clip), I just assume no one else does! so I just assume when anyone else sees a bulge, they automatically think "gun!"

carrying means learning to move your body a bit differently:
bend with your knees, not at the waist
reach for high up things like at the supermarket with the hand opposite whats on your belt--and kinda press your arm against your body alongside the gun.
careful going through doorways-avoid the 'klunk'
plan being hugged such that you control where her arms touch you
cant 20 degrees IWB and as deep as possible at 4 o'clock can help

no real problem, just think it out in advance
