My father has been a cop for thirty five years and just retired back in May, 2011. When he retired; he was given the GLOCK 19 he carried as a cop from the last agency. He's been with a four different agencies through his thirty five years and I had ZipGravers do a custom job on the slide of the retirement gun.

My one and only thing is I should have had the patches done in chronological order but hey... even though they are the thing still looks awesome!

Check it out!

That's very nice. Congrats to your dad on his retirement as well as a thank you for his service.

Looks great, I'm sure he'll enjoy it. It will also give the gun even more sentimental value to him.

You're a good son.

If that goes through the coating to the metal what will prevent it from rusting?

The agency he worked for didn't provide night sights? all the police trade in's ive come across were night sights.

anyhow. great job and thank your pop's for his service

~ First Class ~ all the way around

Congrats to your Dad and to his son (both jobs "well done")

I'm moved, as you can tell

It originally came with factory GLOCK Night Sights but when Dad retired he wanted the night sights removed and the OEM plastic sights installed. He said old age sucks and he couldn't see the night sights but the white outline of the plastic OEM sights work great. So I swapped out the sights for him.

interesting. no offense, just curious.

out of everything on the glock, the only thing IMO that is absolute garbage are the plastic sights. They are almost like sight place holders until the buyer puts sights he/she really wants on there. That is the only thing that IMO they slack on.
