Terrible - Rossi. I bought an R462 (357 6 round snubbie). The "bolt", a small piece inside the gun, broke after less than 100 rounds. It went back to the factory on my dime. Got the gun back 6 weeks later.
This time the gun lasted about 500 rounds when the same part broke less than a year later. Again back to Rossi and again on my dime. Another 6-7 weeks to repair it.
I thought I learned my lesson and was going to sell it asap. My dad wanted a revolver so I loaned it to him. The same frickin' part broke after 6 rounds. So the gun went back to Rossi a 3rd time, again at my expense.
6 weeks later when it came back, I took it straight to a local gun store do not pass Go and sold it. It lasted the 6 rounds the gun store test-fired it for. The $135 I got for it almost paid for the shipping costs I incurred sending it to Rossi THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME BROKEN PART.
I haven't forgotten that the box said "Taurus-Rossi" on it, never again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
