the stoeger cougar is a little cheaper
If the Cougar is only a little cheaper, then you are either not getting a good deal on it, or you are getting an exceptional deal on the CZ.
The Cougar should be in the $350 ballpark.
The P-01 is in the $550 ballpark.
Money an issue: Cougar
Rolling in the Dough: P-01
both have decockers "i think"
If the Cougar is an "F" model, it has a safety which will also decock the hammer. You will have to remember/train to flip the safety off. Model "G" is decocker only like the CZ.
There are opinions on the "F" model safety. But something you should find out which it is, and what you like. Mentioned to help make up your mind.
i just want to know what one well last longer and is built better??
Personally I think if you do your part and take care of them, this is a wash, they are both well built and will last you a lifetime.
That being said, I think the CZ will most likely be the better option for several reasons. It will have better/more third-party support.
I'd have a P-01 in my collection today if it weren't for the fact that it was sooo tight that my wife could not operate it at all. It is still on my list, and I will very likely get one in the future, but as of today, I can't get something that she can't operate. Oh well, it works out anyways because I really wanted the 75 Compact instead of the P-01. Also helped reinforce my case for a revolver for HD.
