During my last range trip I began having multiple fte issues with my P-01. It pretty much hangs up on every other round or so. I 've done some reading and found that weak extractor springs from the factory can be an issue. I've ordered new Wolff springs and I'm ready to try this fix but I've got a couple of questions.
1) How much should I reasonably expect to pay for a gunsmith to swap the springs.
2) Is this something that I can do myself with zero gunsmithing experience.
3) What the hell?? This pistol only has maybe 600-750 rounds (not sure) through it and its not worth much more than a paperweight right now. I bought the P-01 based on the expectation I was getting one of the best designed, reliable compact pistols on the market. I've had zero issues with my stainless 75b and I wanted the P-01 to be a trusted edc. My confidence in this piece has been shaken but I love its accuracy and the ergos are ideal for me. Can I expect the extractor spring swap to make this a reliable pistol again?
