Dan Wesson 1911 Valor VBOB

I jumped out into the water and purchased a Dan Wesson 1911 Valor in .45. I went back to carrying a 1911 several months ago and I ran across this DW Valor and it was a giant surprise to me how good it shoots. I love the CBOB because it is easy to conceal, but to my shock it is easy on the palm of my hand. Below is the pistol and a target shot from 10 yards. It shoots better than I can.

Ignore the two flyers at the bottom left. That is called an ND.

Yep, arguably one of the best, or the best, production 1911s out there ... Aside from how well-made they are, I appreciate the DWs because of the clean look on the slides and frames -- no oversized logos, roll-marks, laser-engravings or billboards. A great look for great-shooting guns. If you're only gonna own one production 1911, the Valor should be at the top of the list. Nice to be able to get a bobtail right out of the box, too.

Dan Wesson makes a decent 1911.

I've got a CBOB in 10mm and a Pointman in 10mm.

However, out of the box both had extractor problems. Turned them both into brass manglers of the 1st degree.

Just for clarification, you actually have a Dan Wesson VBOB, not a CBOB. VBOB = Valor Bobtail. CBOB = Classic Bobtail.

Well I have a CBOB . It is the most accurate of my 1911's I will say that. I bought mine when DW was little known. I thought the prices were reasonable. Now I think their prices are a little high. I would pass and go to a Bare, Brown or Wilson .

I fixed the title. I am not for sure why I can't keep them straight. I also have a CBOB, but selling it in the near future.
