So, I've been all balled up for some time now with my Kimber 84m grouping poorly. I've been working up loads with no luck. Of course, I just "knew" that the rifle was in good shape, bolts secure, etc.
Until I broke down and bought a torque screwdriver yesterday...
Yeah. Every stinking bolt on the rifle was loose. The rear guard action screw had less than 10 pounds of torque!!! Scope mounts were a little loose too.
I could kick myself for not checking on something so elementary before wasting so much powder and lead. I'll be sure to shoot some new groups and post my findings.
Check those bolts and screws, guys!
