Anyone know how to date such a gun. The serial number is BK2XXX. Just picked it up. Very good condition. A little cleaning up and it will make a nice BUG or summer carry. Thanks... Mike...

FEG is no longer in business, but most of them marked AP are commercial rather than military guns made for the US market in the 90's.

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago at a gun show. Probably paid too much but I am happy with it.

It did not run reliable. I buffed the heck out of the feed ramp and tweaked the magazines a bit.

It now runs 100% and shoots just a smidge right of point of aim. I learned to use as little finger on the trigger as possible to get best POA vs. POI results.

The DA pull is a bad mother. Ooof it takes some effort and hence that shot is usually way off the mark. Shooting it in SA the trigger is like butter.

I really like it for how easily it can be concealed.

I don't think it had been shot very much before I picked it up. It does have a lot of holster wear.

Lemme try to post up a pic.

LM; mine is the same exact model. The only difference is that it's more of a two-tone. The slide is blued and the frame is not. Same writing on the slide. The bare metal receiver seemed to be darkened with varnish or some sort of old coating. A little bit of elbow-grease and it looks much better. Anyway, I'm looking forward to shooting it. As with my other 32acp, a tomcat, I have been told that these FEG also prefer FMJ rounds. If you go with other types; like HP; you MIGHT needs to play with the ramping and magazines just a little. However; I've also been told that if you buy european ammo, they seem to be a pubic hair longer and do better in the european 32acp guns. E.g. Sellior and Bellot; Fiocchi; etc...

FWIW; I paid $150 for the gun at a gun show. I don't think that is too unreasonable. Especially in today's market with the "Current Administration" and some of the concerns some gun owners have. But, hopefully next weekend, I'll have a chance to shoot this thing. later... mike.....

P.S. Does anyone know a source to get some extra magazines? Also; is it true that the magazines for the PA-63 will work fine and are interchangeable? thanks....

Here's some pics. Definitely not a lot of info out on these, other than those who have them really like them. I found a source for some original extra magazines, so I ordered 2. But once I cleaned up the frame, it's looking good. Hopefully this coming weekend I can go shoot it. This weekend had a foot of snow and 3-4 foot snow drifts. What a day. Later... Mike.....

Nice looking pistol. Did you remove the copperish color from the frame?
Maybe it is just the picture being deceiving??

The PA63 mags will fit and work. Just the 7.65 round has some wiggle room in the mag. I worked on the lips of the mag to narrow it a bit.

The person I bought the 7.65 from also had a PA63 for sale. It was a toss up which one to buy. My buddy with me at the show bought it.

My gun came with two mags, the PA63 came with one. They were virtually indistinguishable as to which mags went with what gun. So I picked two of them he got the third. His gun runs fine so it all worked out.

I am confident I bought the gun I preferred. Mine is a pleasure to shoot, his is more of a handful.

Oh yeah, here is a link you may or may not have found. Does not tell too much. but interesting just the same.

If your AP-7.65 was imported by KBI, I think they have records of the build date. Otherwise, I have not heard of any way to find this out for the AP-7.65 or PA-63.
I love my AP-7.65 ...Vance's had some on sale January 2nd for $119 and I had to have one to go with my PA-63. The .32acp version is so mellow to shoot. I use Sellier & Bellot ammo for normal shooting. If was going to I carry it, I'd put one Hornady XTP in the chamber and fill the magazine with S&B FMJ's.
I believe Southern Ohio Guns still has some AP-7 .32acp magazines left at their online ordering for a very reasonable price. https://www.southernohiogun.com/index.php/catalog/category/view/id/10

Yea; I cleaned up the frame. Wasn't too difficult. Used a brass brush wheel on a dremel. Then, I used a buffing wheel and some "Mothers" mag wheel polish. Made it much better looking once the lacquer or whatever it is was removed.

I found some magazines online. Can't remember the name right now. I just ordered 2 magazines at $19.99 each. Now, all I have to do if find some Ammo. I maintain around a 1000 rounds for most handguns that I own. (22's I keep a lot more). But this is a caliber I normally didn't keep much ammo for. Now I need to find some. Thanks for the info..... Mike......

edit: the company I got the magazines from is Centerfire Systems, Inc. www.centerfiresystems.com
