Picked up a High Standard Sentinel Mark IV .22 Mag revolver, but can't find a source for it's date of manufacture. SN is S623XX. All I can find is info for pistols.

Can anybody give me a link?

Thanks.

1974 or after, according to this web link.

Some years ago I had the 2" snubbie in 22 magnum. I had several links in my favorites on an older computer. I'll post more if I find them.

Near the bottom of the following page, under "High Standard Revolvers Police Style", shows the Mark IV produced between '74 and '84.

I don't think the longer barrel was produced but for a few of those years.

High Standard was more highly thought of for their target 22LR semi-autos. From what I have read, the Army marksman teams used them at one time.

The semis are more sought after by collectors, though I think your 3 or 4" barrel is a good find.

Thank you, kcofohio. I appreciate your efforts. You've come up with more than I found.

You're welcome! I have to fire up the old puter in the next week or so for taxes. I will look to see what links I have that still work. I will post if there is more. :)

Great info. I have one of the shorter barreled 22 magnums that superficially resemble a Colt Detective. Great shooter.

Sorry I do not know the pull weight. Mine is a sort of satin nickel that I find attractive.

Thanks, Dframe. Yes, that is an attractive finish. The bluing on my 4-Inch MK IV is not very deep or consistent, and the 4.75 lb. SA trigger pull is a little too heavy. But I love the overall looks and the very good accuracy--which would be even better if the SA pull weight was less; maybe 3 lbs.

I thought of the one I had as a decent build. Just couldn't find reliable anmo in my area on a regular bases.
