I just picked this up last week. Cobra 38 spl. May get some rosewood grips for it. Only $13. I like the older style some of you have. This just fit the budget. Bob

The Mossberg Brownie .22rf 4-shooter is often referred to as being a "derringer" type of firearm. One major inovation of this little guy is that you need not cock it first to fire it. It's a double action system where as you pull the trigger a pawl rotates the firing pin to the next chamber.

The sales success of this little "Founding Father" enabled Oscar F. Mossberg and his two sons to continue in the gun business. They made a guesstimated 33,400 Brownies from 1919 to 1932. Today O.F. Mossberg & Sons is America's oldest surviving gunmaking company which is still family-owned.

The Brownie was the FIRST GUN ever produced by the company, and the ONLY HANDGUN they ever produced for commercial sale. It is truly an American historical artifact, and there won't be any more. Whatever guns have survived all these decades are what is available to collectors.
