Well, that should bring the bats out of the attic with fangs dripping. I won't be hypocritcal. It is politically correct, particularly in any Dem discussion to hope and pray and feel for our troops and scream "bring them back now". I'm fighting something bigger.
I'm a 58 year old broad and I can tell you that what is going on in our country isn't the usual ebb and flow of politics where one party is in power and then another; where the economy goes through ups and downs.......yawn, yawn--just wait a bit and things will turn out peachy keen. That stupid la-la land is over.
I realize that not every GI Joe was 100peeercent behind Prseeedent Booosh going into this war; but I do know that that is what an overwhelming number of them and their famlies screamed in the face of protesters who were trying to protect these kids. Well, there is more than one way to be "dead" for your country. They are not only not accompishing squat in Iraq, they are doing crap nothing for the safety, defense of the US of A over there directly. But "indirectly" they are doing a lot.
The only way to get rid of this slime bag WASP-Mafia, oil barron ridden cartel of a government, this assault on Americans and anything one could laughingly call "a democracy", relies heavily on what a ???? hole Iraq turns into. They need to die so that we can be free. Soldiers usually did that directly--i.e., fight those invading and harming a country. This time they need to die in defense of a lie from a lying adminstration to show these ignorant, dumb Americans that Bush is incompetent. They need to die so that Americans get rid of this deadly scum. It is obscene, Barbie Bush, how other sons (of much nobler blood) have to die to save us from your Rosemary's Baby spawn and his ungodly cohorts.

I'm not saying this represents anything but a radical fringe. Implying that liberals or Democrats support his kind of poison is absurd. But this exists. I can only shake my head in disbelief that any American would say that about her (or his) armed forces... There really aren't any words to adequately describe this woman (well, perhaps they are, but a clergyman can't use them!). I shall have to spend some time dreaming up an appropriate fate for her... perhaps a lifetime membership in Saddam Hussein's harem?

I have no words for this. I wonder if she's going to hang out in airports and insult the troops when they come home.

This is all about regaining power to a lot of people. The ends justify the means. Last week the Toledo Blade published a 4 part series on alleged war crimes in Vietnam in 1967 committed by a scout platoon in the 101st Airborne. In the last section, they couldn't resist comparing it to Iraq.

I do agree with you in general, but I distinctly remember this woman having the "1000+ post " tag on her set-up, as I was looking for exactly what you describe.

That doesn't mean all posts are like this one, but still I doubt its a one off...

We should applaud her for telling the truth. Don't you think that some of our presidential hopefuls and democratic leaders in the house and senate squirm with glee on the inside whenever some troops are killed in Iraq? They say they support the troops, but will not give them what is necessary to get the job done. They know that with every soldier killed, they have a better chance of being elected in 2004. At least this woman has the spine to admit that she is a sorry excuse for a human being unlike some of our leaders who naturally talk out of both sides of their mouth, or was it another orifice?

Don't !@#$%ing take your anger out on the under-paid, over-worked soldiers, many of whom **HAVE BEEN GETTING KILLED AND MAIMED** since Bush and the Neo-Cons got their way. Take your anger out on the chickenhawk politicians and buisnessmen in charge.

Your attitude towards these folks in uniform is no better than Kissinger's attitude, IMHO:

These folks signed up to PROTECT the U.S.A. The vast majority of them were not hired for their opinions on where they go or what they do to protect the 50 States and Puerto Rico. They were hired as pawns for our politicians but they SHOULD **NOT** EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BE TREATED AS PAWNS.

I support our troops!
Bring them home.
Give them raises.
Increase their benefits.
Protect them from “Depleted†Uranium.
Increase VA Services funding.

I do not support either this invasion or the White House squatter.

As for the soldiers having a choice to go or not to go. Stop-loss has been in effect since about the middle of 2002. Stop-Loss includes keeping soldiers past their ETS date. There is also something called Stop-Move that is also in effect for many U.S. soldiers.

Dems wanting bad things is nothing new...

IIRC, Gephardt, or possibly Daschle, was quoted before the 2002 elections saying something to the effect of "for every so many points the Dow drops, we'll pick up another seat in the House." They just wanted (and still want) things to get worse so they can blame Bush and get back in power.

Their standard drill remains to carp and complain about how awful things are while failing to offer any workable alternatives.

I looked up DU do not see that attitude as prevelant and didn't see any similiar posts but you can't use their search feature w/o paying. BUT there are several pro gun threads.

So DU is even more pro-gun and pro RKBA than they are anti-troop as there is only anti-troop post put many pro-gun and RKBA.

The anti-troop sentiment is horrible but I have seen even more vile things posted at freereuplic.com (the conservative BB) over the years and would never be as intellectually dishonest as to paint all conservatives by one freaks F'ed up opinions. That's the epitome of lazy,clowning journalism. Those who promote it do a diservice to themselves and to this country.
