Well crap. So we either shoot at Winchester Gallery at 10am, or we all meet at Market Hall and get in some serious troubles :)

I was planning on going to Market Hall no matter where we shoot. If we shoot that is.
I want a mini 30 so bad I can hardly stand it. ;) I also want some nice wood grips for my Sig 220.

So can we get a concensus on the shoot? Gibsons, WinGal or No Shoot?

Well I can't imagine Gibsons being usable. So, I vote for Wingal for a while, then instead of lunch those that want can go to Market Hall. I do want to shoot with you guys, even if we're inside with no distance. Sooner or later the weather will clear up and we can do something outside.

I want to find some night sights for my Sig P239 and some AR magazines if there are any bargains to be had.

Anyone else have a thought?

Im bringing my 10 Sigman. It's my first. I'd like for ya to shoot it if ya want and maybe tell me what if anything I can/need to do to it.

Someone call it. Gibson's will be messy. I love the place but raining or not it will be sloppy.

Well, I'll call it. I will be at Wingal tomorrow morning as close to 10am as I can make it. Hope to see at least some of ya'll there. There will be plenty of months this year we can go to Gibson's. In nice/hot weather it is a nice place to shoot.

Here is a map.

So, I will be at Winchester Shooting Gallery in Ft.Worth tomorrow with two or three pistols and maybe my 94 I need to sight in. Ill bring my AK if someone wants to shoot it.

Yeah, I'll be at Winchester at 10 also, with AR, a Sig or 2, and some kind of 10mm.

We'll hope for nice weather next month I guess.

Over at our Yahoo group, I just advised to move to Winchester. Its gonna be a muddy mess at Gibsons.

So, for the last Sunday in March, the shoot will be at Gibsons, at 10:00am.

Oh, and Alduro, you don't have to act out in front of your friends because you have to work on Sunday and all the cool people will be slingin lead down range. :neener: Love ya bro!

Well, 3 of us made it to Win Gal this morning. Some local PD was on the rifle range so we started in the handgun area.

Saw lots of interesting things, a pocket NAA .22, a very nice limited edition Delta Elite that 86 picked up for a ridiculous bargain; appeared to be new in the box, a neat old S&W Model 10 that just was boring to shoot, it put all the bullets in the same hole, that's no fun......

Went to shoot the AR on the rifle range and we were told the range was closed for a while. After some probing it turns out one of the local LEOs qualifying on carbine blew up the range equipment and it's down for repairs.

Wonder if he passed his quals?

Oh well. Pray for dry weather in March and some outdoor shooting!

Me, HighVelocity and EghtySx in attendance.

Sorry I didn't make it. I'm still fighting off a mean bit of bronchitis, and I decided I'd just lay around the house all day. I'll definately be there in March, though.

Good time as usual

Missed the ones that couldn't make it. Hope to see yas next time.

Are we gonna start having some Saturday shoots again? There for a while we were shooting twice a month. I was kinda wondering if anyone was interested in starting that up again. Course, on Sat shoots, you gotta deal with Alduro hanging around... ;)

Good to see TXSigman and meet 86. Nice hardware to play with too. :D
That single action 45LC and super tight low number Delta sure were cool.

Yeah, the LEO who smoked the target cable with the first shot most certainly qualified. :neener:

Yucccch! That stuff went through our entire family in the past two months, and I'm just now starting to feel better, so I hope you and the entire TechBrute clan are beginning to rally.

I'll look forward to making the next THR get together to work out my new AR-15 upper. I went to DMH on Saturday, and traded my post ban Bushmaster upper for a no ban flattop. I had to cough up some cash, but it was in line with what I was expecting, so not a big deal. In fact, my sale of a couple of flashlights and a knife covered it for me (thanks Jay, for your help!).

While I'm posting here, allow me to ask if any of you guys have a GG&G BUIS for my new upper? I guess I can buy one from one of the dealers at ARFCOM, but figured I may as well try here first. I need one that will co-witness well with my Eotech 511. If you have one to sell or trade, shoot me an email.
Thanks,
Paul

This fellow had a table at the Big Town show a couple months ago. Range fees seem reasonable compared to other establishments in Dallas. I visited the range once. It's in the middle of a sod farm. There were several pistol berms and apparently several rifle ranges going up to at least 300yrds (not sure about 1000yrds). Place looks like it's still under construction.
Anybody else been there?

We have talked about it before, but I'm not sure that anyone has actually been there. I do like these rules though :D
# No per-day usage fees (Match fees not included)
# Shoot at any time, day or night
# Shoot for as long as you want
# No restrictions on rapid-fire
# No restrictions on shooting style, e.g. shooting "on the move"
# No restrictions on gun types

I talked to the guy a while back. The deal is you have to volunteer one day a year and do range improvement work or pay an extra $100.

Doesn't sound too bad. He had some steel setup, but people kept shooting it with big bore stuff too close and blowing holes in it, not sure if those targets are still up.

I am definitely interested in checking this out. The "no restrictions" stuff makes me wonder though. Is there always somebody there to make sure the "idiots" that might show up are not a threat to other shooters?

No, there are no range officers. You are supposed to appoint one if there is a group there. It's kinda iffy on safety. I considered paying the fee and just going at odd times. I usually do my range time in the middle of the week when I have slow days, but I'm not sure I'd want to be at a place like that during a busy time.
