Was in Las Vages last week for a couple of days and thought i would try some full auto firearms.

Was thinking about The Gun store, but after reading some negative comments, went to Discount firearms. Was not Disapointed.

Tried an MP5, Thompson and a M2 carbine.

After shooting the MP5 the thompson seemed very heavy, but the wieght kept the recoil down. I thought the MP5 9mm recoil was more than the Thompson .45 recoil.

I had some problems with the M2 carbine, FIrst mag would not feed and new mag was used. After about 10 rounds the bolt jammed and carbine was taken back and cleaned. I then got a fresh full mag and fired off with only a couple of failure to feed.

Over all a good time.

not sure about about the cycle rate of the MP5. I fired the first couple of rounds single shot, then shot full auto. I fired in 3-5 burts, to the mag was empty.

Cost was $25 for 25 rounds, so about the same as you paid. Alot of fun though.

"...the Thompson seemed very heavy..." You're right. The Chopper is heavy. 12 pounds or so. Remember that it's a first generation SMG and the MP5 is the culmination of SMG design. M2's are FA M1 carbines and the mags and the ammo matters.
Paid about $20 at Second Chance, long ago, to shoot a .50 BMG. Great fun, but not as much fun as the M-16K. A Colt 9mm M-16. The Reising SMG was slick too.
FA sure is fun. Kind of makes you wonder why all those people go to Vegas to just give their money to the casinos and listen to Wayne Newton.

Im leaving for Vegas Thursday evening and I will, without a doubt, have to try this. Ive never been there before and i was just about to post a topic to see if there was anything gun elated to do but i think you just saved me some time haha. Thanks
