Just bought a CZ 75 PO1 and would like to know the difference between the other 75s like the 75 B and others///Thanks ! drf

Hmmm...

The basic design is the same for the 75...75B...85...Combat...Rami...etc.

Changes include features plus frame/slides alterations to fit CCW or other applications. The 75 was the first design (of the guns you speak to) and had a safety added (lawyers) and became a 75B.

You can get the low-down here:

Very good guns. Affordable. One of the best values in modern semi-autos.
I have a 75B SA (single action), 83 (.380 blow back design), 50 (.32 cal), and a 97 SA (.45 ACP)...CZ poor and proud of it!

The super RD version is like this............

75 B........fullsize steel framed gun trad da trigger. 9mm and 40 S&W
40 has a full rail slide...9mm has a cut out slide

85 B .....same frame but has ambi controls
85 Combat....no FPB and has adj. sights and trigger
9mm only in the 85's

75 SA.....extended controls and SA trigger, slightly different frame.
9mm's and 40's have the full rail slide on the SA

97......larger framed 45 with full length dust cover and Sig style barrel lockup.
75 B Compact......same gun just chopped at both ends.
PCR......alloy framed Compact with decocker and CCW friendly features.
PO1......same as the PCR but with light rail/different sights.

CZ40 is an alloy framed Colt wannabe with Sig style lockup
Rami is a mini CZ40 in 9mm and 40.

Thats the fullsize common framed guns......................

Shoot well.

Another small difference (that probably has no practical value in today's market) is that the 75 and 75B differ when it comes to the "top" of the slide. Originally it was smooth and rounded with very small sights. The B model used larget sights, built up the top of the frame so it's flat and then "grooved" it so there wouldn't be any glare.

That's just book knowledge though that I obtained a few years back. Never seen the difference myself hands on.

Congrats on your purchase drf, I just got one as well. Very nice piece, isnt it?

Thanks ZAN
, so far I like the gun. only shot 3 rounds out of it..Just bought it yesterday.
I usually shoot a 45 but wanted something a little smaller...The lighter recoil is great!
I wasnt sure yesterday what I wanted but after holding a Kahr9, Sig,a couple Glocks and a few others I picked up the CZ and wow it just felt perfect in my hands. A little heavier than the others except the Sig but not much more...drf

I've put about 200 rounds through my P-01 and when I took it apart to clean it, there was no residue to clean out of it. I wiped it down, gave it alil lube and it was good to go.

Don't ya just love the CZs. I have two.

My beloved CZ 75 P-01.

And my newly aquired 75B

PCRCCW hit it on head with his post. One thing I would add is that the 75, 75B,75B compact, 85, 85B, 83, 40, 97, and RAMI all have a manual safety. The 75BD, PCR, and P-01 have decockers. (I may have missed a model)

The P-01 also has a newly recurved trigger compared to the other models. You can see that if you compare the triggers in the two pictures I posted.

edited to add:

Which one is the full size with a de-cocker and who sells it? That's the one I want.

That is the CZ 75BD. Check J&G sales (I think). Also check out www.czforum.com . The people there might be of better assistance.
