Do have a rifle you've never shot

I have a bunch. All milsurps.

I'm not sure why I bought them. It's not like I have a huge house with a wall that begs to be covered with old rifles.

I know there are some milsurp fanatics here, but I'm not one.

If I want to plink, I'll shoot a .22. Iron sights out 200 yards can be fun with the right .22. If I want to deal with corrosive ammo, I'll shoot muzzleloaders. If I want to handload modern ammo, I'll do it for a rifle that groups worth a ****. There's really not much room for shooting milsurps in the realm of what I like.:)

I do like to look at some of them (e.g. Enfields). So maybe I should clear a wall for a few...

I have a number I have not shot yet. They will be shot. I just have not gotten around to shooting them. All of my rifles were purchased to shoot (at least so far).

Just one. a Browning model 65 in .218 Bee.

A gift from Dad when I came home from the Air Force in 1989.

It's a true safe queen. only comes out to get wiped down, and then goes back in it's spot

Still have the original box too

Three, but not because I don't plan to shoot them. Just haven't gotten to them yet. I usually only take one or two guns to the range each trip. And the three I'm talking about aren't new or unfired ... just unfired by me.

I don't have any rifles I haven't shot, although I have a Carcano and a Lee-Enfield Jungle Carbine I haven't shot in a decade. Now that Privi-Partizan is now making semi-reasonably priced ammo for both I might shoot them again soon.

I have three that are safe queens. A Marlin 1897 Annie Oakley-NIB,a Marlin 56 First Year,Steel Receiver-NIB,and a Browning BPS 12ga w/2 barrels and a Browning Deluxe Hardcase-NIB
There really nothing special about the Browning, but it does have highly figured-high gloss stock/forearm and has never been shot.I got it from an estate sale,it was purchased in 1981. I just have several others that I already shoot.

nope my rifles arent original G.I. joes stillin the package, i see no point in owning a gun u will never shoot. just my 2 cents

I normally shoot my new guns right away but because of some unforseen circumstances, I have 2 guns I have not gotten dirty yet :(

I have one that hasn't been shot yet, but I haven't gotten it yet. :neener: I refuse to own a gun to sit on the wall or in the safe. :)

Vetterli-Carcano 6.5mm. Probably would be OK with half power loads, but I have enough other stuff to keep me busy, so it's a wallhanger for now.

yeah still waiting

to shoot this MAK90 I just purchased and changed the furniture on.

My unfired specimen is a 1950 Winchester m70 Supergrade NIB. Paperwork included. I don't know if it's ever had the bolt in it. It is museum quality and I appreciate that. I have plenty of other stuff to shoot

WOW!! Story on history?

um right now only things are a 7.35 carcano, 6.5 carcano, 20g kessler oh and the new enfield

Yes. A Marlin 30-30 stainless 336, a featherweight M70 pre-64 .308, a Winchester M70 .243 XTR, and an LMT AR-15. I think that's it. Will get to them eventually.

I have several I have never shot..... anyone know where you could get .22 WRM ammo?.... lol...

Seriously though.... some collector items, and some that I just haven't gotten around to trying.... I just can't say no to cheap or free guns....

I have a Arisaka Type 38 (mum is intact)

I've got an Arisaka back at my parents house.

My Grandfather (Dad's side) aquired it. He was a slave in a Hitachi copper mine in Japan when the second bomb fell (he was captured at Corrigedor). At cessation of hostilities, their work group had drawn straws to see who was going to get to kill their guard. He drew short and at the same time an officer came by and suggested that wouldn't be such a good idea since technically it could be construed as murder.

That didn't sit to well, so he went over and grabbed the guys rifle with a comment of "Well, I sure as hell am not going back with nothing!"

nobody gave the walking skeleton with the rifle wrapped in a blanket much grief about possessing it either...

We laid him to rest in Arlington last year. Tied for Coolest Grandfather of all time (with the other one, still living)...
