Do you carry a wheel gun ?

We don't have CCW up here, yet. But when we get it, my wife has already said she will carry a S&W 586 6"bbl. I recommended she think about the 586L-Comp.

I occasionally carry a 4" S&W 586 while walking the dog, but my usual rotation is between these two:

wow. do you live in the wilderness? i have one of these, and i can't imagine carrying it, especially concealed. of course, i'm in a very hot climate. i plan soon to carry a 2" ruger SP101.

I usually carry my Glock 20, however my S&W Model 60 J Frame is a real pleasure to carry. Especially in warm weather!

Almost. Canada is pretty far and gone from you!

The size of any revolver with a 6"bbl makes it impractical for anything but open carry or home defence in my opinion. That's why I suggested to her the L-comp version. Of course, I would pack good 'ole slabsides, myself.

Another 2.25" Ruger SP101 .357 here. Every day, except occasionally my new-to-me 3" GP100, which I got mostly for IDPA. The SP with a Clipdraw, the GP in a Blade-Tech paddle.

When pocket carrying, a S&W 340pd w/Hi-viz fiber optic sights in Desantis Nemesis Pocket holster, with 158 gr. LSWCHP .38+p's.

When belt carrying, a S&W 66, 2 1/2" barrel in a Biachi pancake holster or a Don Hume JIT slide holster w/125 gr. XTP HP's going about 1200fps.

For farm/woods carry I carry my stainless Ruger Redhawk in .41mag shortened to 4".

When I carry a revolver, it is either a S&W M64 with a 4 inch barrel, a S&W M10 with a 2 inch barrel, or a S&W M60 with a 2 inch barrel. All are .38 Specials of course. When I carry a semi-auto it is a Glock 19 in 9mm.
