Photo Guy started a thread over in competition shooting that made me think, do all of you know about the High Road Virtual Matches? If you would like to know more, please head over to competition shooting and check it out. I will post these quick links for you as well.

The reason I shoot in these matches every month is just to get me to go out and enjoy my hobby and my sport. It is so easy to just leave all of those guns sitting in their safe and never get out and shoot them. I use the Virtual Matches as a means to force myself to go out and have fun. I have not missed a match since the first one and it is my goal not to miss one again. I have even shot matches with just the light from my car headlights the last day of the month.

Come over and check us out. It is a lot of fun and the main point is to just get you out to go shooting. Don't worry about your score so much as just get out and shoot.
 
You go to the thread for this month's match. Read the procedures for the map. For instance, this month, you print up that target and then you go shoot at it at 50 feet with a handgun, one handed or two handed, your choice. The two classes are the .22 LR class and the open class for all your other handguns. This month just happens to be a crazy match. Instead of tallying up your score like regular, your score is your lowest shot. So if you shot 9 rounds in the X ring and had one flyer in the 8 ring, your score is 8 for the month. If you threw one all the way off, you get a zero!!! Sometimes we get tired of shooting the same old matches so we throw in a twist.

There are no prizes, there are no rewards, just the satisfaction of beating the other guy in an honest competition. This being the High Road, we just ask you to be honest as your integrity ought to mean more to you than cheating on this virtual match. Once you shoot the match you just post the scores in the thread.
