I used to reload a few calibers but had to sell my equipment years ago. Would like to get into it again and recently met a guy who says he has a reloading set for sale, and that he doesn't need or want it and needs the money. Haven't seen the setup he's got so I don't know if I'm really interested, but I'm sure going to take a look at what he has.

Been at it less than a year. Started to save some money. I'm a long way from realizing any savings at this point, because the up front costs are significant. But I am thoroughly enjoying it. Keeps me involved with my shooting interests when I can't get to the range. Wish I had started years ago!

I pretty much reload everything other than 7.5 Swiss, .22 LR and Shotgun ammo. otherwise I would not be able to affoard to shoot. Plus my ammo is tailored to my weapon.

i have recently noticed quite a few new members visiting and posting in the rifle country, so i figured i would give this a bump for an updated census.

i'm just as interested in hearing from those that do not reload/handload.

Yes I do. I started with shotgun shells when I was 8 (paper hulls, stacked wads, lee hammer powered hand press with scoops and a bathroom scale for wad pressure) started metalics after I got out of college about 35 years ago. Now I load all my ammo (excdpt rimfire). Most of my guns have never fired a factory round.

I'm seriously considering reloading but, to start, only for cartridges that cost far in excess of $1 per round, e.g. .458 SOCOM, .500 Rem Mag, .375 H&H Mag. Heck, I don't even have two of these firearms yet, LOL!!

It's funny, ever since I started reloading I order a set of dies for every new caliber I buy. The newest guns I've bought have never fired a factory round. I just cant justify paying retail for a bullet I can make with more consistency, accuracy, and lower price. Also...I just really love reloading. It's like therapy for me.

I do now!

Just finnished loading my first batch of ammo. I'll probably go to the range today and see how well it works.

My current living situation is not conducive to having a reloading set-up. Feeding my .458WM is expensive as the budget stuff is still $2.10 a round. At least I'll have plenty of brass saved up for when I can reload.

451, what is that monster press just to the right of whatever you have under that green towel?

That is an old Hollywood, will resize anything. I use it to resize mostly large rifle cases like 375/338, 450 Alaskan and such. My atomatic powder measure is under the green towel and a lubrisizer is under the white towel

Pretty cool. I bet it will resize anything pretty easily. It sure looks like it can at least. I thought that might be a chargemaster under that towel - that is what mine looks like most of the time - except I use an old pillow case.

Want to, but need to wait to get my new bankcard to order the stuff online (Been waiting 2 weeks...and they had to change my account info since I hadn't gotten it yet, and send me a yet another new card, lovely, eh?) I already have all the equipment picked out too...
