I have looked around trying to find "non-premium" ammo in 50 round boxes. All I can find is 20 round boxes of super expensive stuff! I want to shoot my Blackhawk with some factory stuff, and decide if I'm going to keep it, and reload for it. Thanks Guys-

PMC 210gr JHP, think I paid $21.00. Also, I think Magtech its called, around the same price.

I think Remington still offers a 210 grain softpoint .41 Magnum load in 50 round boxes.
I got a box from them not too long ago and it's shooting well in my Marlin 1894FG and several Smith handguns.

18.5gr Alliant 2400 = 5 cents
Locally cast .41 bullet = 4 cents
Winchester LP Primer = 2 cents

Box of 50 .41 rounds = $5.50

Lee Hand Press = $20
Lee Dies = $20

Wouldnt take long to make that back. Loading is the only reason I can afford the almighty 41.

For new ammo the best prices I've found online is Georgia Arms. They have 210gr JHP $19.00/50, 210gr LSWC $15.00/50. I save the brass and send it to Bulleye Shooting Supplies for reloading. 210gr JHP 13.60/50, 215gr LSWC 9.45/50. If you get 500 rounds or more shipping is free.

JBP, great post! I had never heard of them. I book marked Bulleye for future reference as I have loads of 41 mag brass and keep procrastinating about reloading. Are their other places that reload shot brass? Do they publish loads, ballistics, and so forth? Would the wadcutter load be the lower powered "police load" that Elmer Keith recommended back when the round was created?

I am only aware of PMC and Remington 50 round boxes of 41 magnum being sold. I usually see the Remington in 210 gr JSP. PMC 210 JHP seem to be a little harder to find these days. PMC loads what they call a 210gr TCSP which looks like a filled HP bullet. I buy at Cheaper than Dirt usually. Free shipping if you buy over $100 worth of stuff and I can usually find a way to get $100 worth of stuff as they have lots of goodies for sale.

I've don't have a chronograph so I really don't know what their ballistics are. I'm sure if you gave them a call they would tell you. Just from experiece their LSWC feels to be full power.
