Just got one. Looking from you guys on what your gun shoots the best with. I'm going to run 155gr or 168gr SMK's. Powder i have on hand-benchmark-h335-IMR4064-Varget-Tac(very little left)-H380.

Warning, the loads I mention have been worked up on my gun using my components. Start low and work up until you find the accuracy you desire or pressure signs emerge. The loads in the link I cannot vouch for, use with caution and as always start low and work up.

Here is a lot of info in 308 loads.

I am having issues with inconsistent seating depth with 178 hpbt hornadys, but 44.6g of varget shoots 1” for me. A 168 amax and 44.8g of varget also shoots well. I am shooting a rock river arms ar10

My last time out I decided 42.5 of IMR4064 with a 168 SMK is my best load to date. I have some Varget loaded up to test side by side. I have also used IMR4895 and AR-COMP. The Varget is just slightly better than the 4895.
I haven't chrono'd any of it yet.
Anything hotter shpws signs of high pressure.
I shooting a DPMS G2 Hunter.

My DPMS LR 308B does quite well using the 168 SMK bullets over 41 gr of IMR 4895 in Fed cases or 44 gr of Reloder 15 in Winchester cases, both loaded to maximum mag length.
Both loads are sub moa.

i have some 168 gr. SMK left but with the rem 700 i was trying to switch over to the 155 gr. for hunting/target relativity while loading. The rem 700 shot both bullets so good i had to do group testing at 300 yards to find a difference. Same data shared between 155 gr SMK and my 150 grain SGK so no readjusting powder drop to make up 50-100 hunting rounds. However i did work on a couple loads with the 168gr on top hopefully will test them this weekend in the ar-10.
