What would your dream rifle be if you had a truly unlimited 'equivalent to the GDP of a small nation' budget?

(Discounting everything above small arms, because we'd all chime in with naval destroyers and orbital weapons ;))

STG-44 in good condition with the Krummerlauf (sp?) attachment. I know there are better weapons in existance, but that's the single weapon I would add to my collection if I could.

It'd have to be some kind of military rifle. I probably wouldn't want anything crew-served though, as that's too specialized (sorry machine guns). Maybe just a good quality assault rifle? How about a select-fire SCAR?

I'd have to go with two, toss up, depending on what mood I was in...vz-58 select fire, (if there IS a transferrable one in the US), or the CZ Urban Counter Sniper Rifle.
Of course, if someone gave me an STG44, even one of the new semi-auto only clones, I would certainly never argue...

Holland and holland double rifle maybe 4 bore and a small tribe of pygmies to carry it for me

A Blaser Tactical 2, probably in .308. I'm not much of a tacitcal guy, but I'd make an exception for this one.

I would want a Winchester pre 64, Featherweight .300 Winchester Magnum with a Deluxe stock in stainless steel - origional - not a reproduction.

I don't think that one was ever made - so it would be the rarest of all the Winchester Model 70's.

I would top it with the most expensive scope available and I would want it with a clip feed magazine - not box feed and I would want 5 spare clips.

Now all we need to do is to get old Doc Brown to fire up the Delorean and we would be set.

My hunting interest has never included the big bears or African dangerous game. Deer and elk, or African plains game.

So the old '06 still seems as good as any for what I'm interested in doing.

My old Weatherby Mark V with its 26" barrel and Canjar trigger gave me sub-MOA to 500 yards. Let me eat a bunch of deer meat...

Dunno what I'd get that was any better...

Something modular, as situations change I would want to be able to change as well if need were to arise.

I would want...

M4 Full auto 10.5" SBR Suppressed with an AWC Can

The most expensive surefire light i could put on it...

And a very nice optic system. Some type of ACOG. I haven't decided which one i want yet.

That's it :)

Hmmm...unlimited budget...how about every rifle I could possibly get my hands on :)

If it were just one I would go with a PSG-1 as well.

A NIB Savage 99, .300 Savage rifle, so I wouldn't have to shoot my Pop's .300 that my Mom gave him back in 1946, I could leave it in the safe.
