Is that your bedroom??? LOL!!! If so...and your significant other allowed this...you sir are THE MAN!

I loaded up about 50 rounds of 40sw on a cheap lee press thought this was for the birds and bought a 650.
You'll love the press. My main powder for 40 is 231, makes a nice mild target round. For hotter rounds I use longshot and AA#7...Eric

Congrats!. I considered the 550 when I bought my Lee Classic Turret, but eventually decided against it. For the price of it, I got a Classic Turret kit, dies, Hornady inertial hammer, 0'5 kg of powder, primers, 500 bullets... and I don't need to load up high volumes of ammo. The LCT is enough for me, so far. I do admit that the 550 is a very fine press, however.

You're not the only one that has his reloading setup in the bedroom, though :D. I live in an apartment. It has two bedrooms, one is my stepdaughter's, and choices for my reloading bench were the living room (big no-no from her ) or some unused corner in our bedroom, so there is where I did set it up. She's not completely happy about it, but heck, I have to cope with some of her stuff which I don't completely like, and don't make a drama out of it :D.

+1 For real! All hail Eldraque!

I reloaded on a knight stand in a basement computer room for about 5 yrs with a 550. I did place a 1/4" boiler plate under the press. It was very helpful in stabilizing the press.

These Dillon threads would be way more fun if we typed in blue. I have a 650XL that I really like. Congrats on your 550!

Go Dillon Blue!! I'm rebuilding my reloading room right now, but I'm getting the Dillon goodies set back up first.

I see you have the spent primer catcher upgrade. That same guy on eBay sells a live primer catcher that replaces the 'ski jump'. I highly recommend it if you don't already have it.

Never mind, I can see from the picture, it looks like you already have it

Just Set Up #-3 550-B...

The 1st was a plain 550 , then later came the upgrade to [ B ] the later 2 were the 550-B. Have 2 -in small Pri & one in Large Pri mode.. As I only have place for 2 on the load bench , I have gone to Pat Marlins "Rock Dock" bench mounting Sys, Thyt are really soild & can change a whole press in a Quick Minute.
The last one I got from an Estate Sale & had set in a basement for 20yrs , no less. There were about 6 parts missing & after a call to Dillon , the missing parts were cheerfully sent in a few days . It is up & running now . My 2¢ .. Russ.

I found that one hard way. Spent primers jumping out once in a while OK with me. Live primers when you develop loads, etc is really concerning. Searched google, found instructions, contacted guy. And then he posted on eBay. Works great. A must in my book.
