duracoat a revolver - timing issues?

Spray very thin or not at all on your tight tolerance areas, such as between the frame and yoke. If you get it to thick there you will have timing problems.

I have had zero timing issues with this Model 12 I rescued. It was in horrible shape finish wise and I cleaned it up and had it Dura Coated.

I bought a Colt Trooper 357 that had been left in a leather holster in a drawer for over 30 years. It was pitted badly along the left side of the barrel and cylinder. The internals were like new, had been fired only a few times. I stripped the lock work out of the frame, took the rear sight off and the firing pin out of the frame and had it refinished with duracoat. Let it cure for a few weeks and then cleaned and reassembled the gun and went to the range. That is now my favorite full time use and carry for everything gun. The pits are still visible but the corrosion is stopped and the gun shoots like a dream. I say don't refinish without stripping the internals out first.
