EAA Witness - CZ 75 spin off

I don't think he's there any more. I've called them a couple of times and haven't had the pleasure of talking to him like I used to for like I don't know how many years it was. He was never really nasty to me, but he was to a friend of mine who needed a couple of springs for his gun and the guy went all "Soup Nazi" on him.

After not shooting for many years, I gave most of my weapons to a niece and her husband - he has land he can actaully shoot on, and was pretty excited to get them.

The one I hung onto was the nicest feeling weapon I’ve ever held - and Armalite AR-24, which is a Sarsmilaz built CZ 75 clone imported into the US by Armalite some time ago. It’s forged steel, so it’s pretty here, and I got the “C” (for “custom” not “compact”) which means it has adjustible sights, and pretty intense checkering on the front strap and back strap. It really just seems to settle into my hands.

This thread me made me think of because I just bought some Meg-Gar EAA witness (small frame) mags for it, which look to fit as advertised, and are supposed more reliable that the mags that came with it.

It’s been a number of years since I did any shooting, but I went out today and picked up some Winchester NATO 9mm ammo from Cabelas and hope to get to the range in the next couple of weeks.

Bought full size EAA Tanfolio 10mm with the matte finish back in the late 90's early 00's. Plan at the time, was to get into reloading. I didn't and decided to try to sell the pistol off after blasting through the 600 some rounds of factory ammo I had. I too noted nose dive magazine failures. I did find the gun to be pretty accurate with practice (600rds worth). Reselling it was another issue altogether. That gun sat on consignment for over a year, even with a lower price on it.

My other complaint - too heavy. Made my 1911s feel lightweight in comparison.

Tanfoglio's base guns are good shooters but their Elite series pistols are on a whole other level. I have two Matches in 9mm and 45, a Limited Pro in 45, and a Stock in 9mm. I also have a P Carry in 45.
