Electric Case Trimmer For .45 ACP

Does anyone make an electric case trimmer for .45 ACP...like the Dillon 1200 for rifle cases?

I don't know anyone personally who trims autopistol brass, ever, so there's probably not much of a market for that. I don't remember ever having heard of one.

Been loading .45 acp since the 1960's and have yet to trim one of the cases. I'd rather cast bullets than trim pistol cases............

L E Wilson makes a case holder for 45 ACP for the L E Wilson trimmer, There is a power adapter for the trimmer to run it from a drill.

I am sure the die manufacturers make trim dies for 45 ACP where you file the case mouth with the die and case in a single stage press. Most probably will require an extended shell holder,

Lee makes a 45 ACP case gauge for their trimming system. It can be powered by a drill motor or a drill press.

Or do as virtually everyone does and do not bother trimming 45 ACP.

Handgun cases in general rarely need trimming. It's really just bottle necked cases that need it.

Load them til they split or you lose them and forget trimming.

Trim rifle brass-yes!
Trim pistol brass-no!

There are several case trimmers that will trim 45 ACP if one is inclined to do so. Not like the Dillion however.

The RCBS for example will trim anything. That said as above, who trims handgun brass? Some trim straight wall revolver brass.

Likely not a good idea. Gap operates at higher pressures and the extractor grove is deeper than an ACP case.
