Engraved Firearms

I have a Ruger New Vaquero (stainless steel model) that I want to get fully (or almost fully) engraved some day.

FWIW I am pretty open to the exact design, as long as it's done well and looks like "traditional" engraving with scroll work, leaves, etc. Lastly, I don't really care for the newer laser engraved style that you see offered.

Any recommendations?

You realize that full hand engraving will cost more than the gun?

There's something to be said for the laser engraving that is then finished by hand

I really don't care for it. Plus it's extremely expensive, and you can buy 2 more guns for what it costs you.
Also resale is almost nil, unless you find someone with the same taste, which is rare. It's like custom cars, one guys idea of beauty is another's nightmare.
Maybe a light touch here and there, but all those leaves and animals are old fashioned and make the gun appear cluttered, "to me". Someone else may love it.

I personally love engraved guns and you can probably spend hours on that site...
