Could the shortage of components finally be lifting a little? I live in Eastern PA and besides a dearth of long ranges to shoot at, it's been a desert here in finding components, specifically powder. Every week I call several LGS's to see if they have any. Well this morning, the first one I checked had zero cans of powder on the shelf, and told me he has now more than a full truck load on back order!

I tried another and they guy told me "nope, still nothing - oh wait a minute - I see them bringing some boxes in now" Could it be? He tells me he'll go check, comes back to the phone and says "yup, we've got several pounds of H4350 and H335 like you're asking for, but there's a two pound limit for each customer" Fine I told him - put them aside and I'll drive up there to pick 'em up.

I make the 45 minute drive, walk into the store and get my two and two of the above powders. Whew! I look on his shelves and literally every canister of powder, well, almost every can, is now moved from the shelves to behind the counter and each has a post it note attached with reservations for someone.

I am hoping the powder companies are finally beginning to catch up. I know his went quick, but at least he got some in. For months there they couldn't get any powder in to put on the shelves. Some of the other stores are still without, and I know it's hurting them, but maybe this is a little glimmer of hope and it's starting to open up.

What are some of you finding? Are your LGSs stocking powders and components? I know primers are also beginning to show up too, so one can only hope.

I've been able to hit my favorite shop here in PA and they had a full supply of powder and primers just about every time I've stopped in. I think they were low on small pistol once. I don't really go other places for powder and primers so I don't know how they've been.

Surprised you don't have good long-range shooting ranges near you! Just how far east are you? New Jersey!?! :D

I'm still putting off tooling up to reload for 9mm Steyr until Unique shows back up on Midway...:(

Sam, it's almost Jersey! I'm on the border in Bucks County. Where in central PA are you, and what is the name of the gun shop? I may decide to drive out there sometime if it isn't too far. Why do I think Litiz?

I happened on the 3rdss site earlier this week and it was FULL of Hogdgen powder. Got 8lbs of h4350 and several others. Even after my purchase there several hundred one pounders of many powders.

Several hours later: ZIP.

I randomly check several sites multi times daily. I felt like I won the lottery!

Can't wait to hug that big ole bottle!

I read about various LGS have this and that. Those I visit or call in eastern NC don't have and haven't had squat.

I sent you a PM as well. I believe Sam and I are pretty close in proximity to each other.

My LGS in southern IL hasn't had much of anything since last December. But then, reloading supplies are a small part of his business. Graf's Reloading in St. Charles, MO, on the other hand, has had a pretty steady supply of just about everything - or at least everything I need - for the last several months. They recently removed their "limit 200" on primers, too.

I suppose it depends on where you look.
