I once beat an old Macintosh into splinters, but I used an axe.

I'm still finding fragments in my back yard.

But let me tell you, the "thwock" sound it made when I hit the glass was quite satisfying.

That's not even an iMac, but rather just an Apple monitor. Still, very amusing.

Most dangerous thing I've ever shot was a steel reactive target. Ooooh. Ahhhhh. Truly living dangerously. :D

Those guys really need some help shooting, they missed like 20 times but besides that it is still strangely entertaining. BRING OUT THE FULL AUTOS :D

I have killed many computers.

PCs, Macs, even a bunch of old Wangs.

Anyone remember when Wang made computers?

heh-heh-heh-heh-heh.......

Hey! All the ones that hit were mine, all the ones that missed were Sean's... hehe. We were at 70 yards or so and I was shooting guns for the first time and second time, so I missed a few times getting used to the feel of the recoil. I went and practiced on some harddrives today... more videos to come soon!

PS Any tips for shooting faster and recovering faster from recoil, bringing aim back on target quickly?

I once introduced my old beige monochrome macintosh to a sledgehammer. That was the most satisfying 10 minutes i ever got from that piece of garbage.

Freshman year in college, one of my friends had a monitor finally die on him. So we set the thing by the door to his dorm. It then became customary for each person to kick upon entering. By the end of the year, well, only the glass was really intact.

mac naa many (any) wintel box dann Ja

I have a long list of wintel boxes in need of end of service support starting w/ one at a remote client site in Canada.

it needed a bunch of .303 upside the head.

they tried to use it as a boat anchor after retireing it, but it locked up halfway to the bottom.

A friend of mine and went to the Iowa City Salvation Army and bought some old monitors, printers, phones, coffee makers, PC cases and other electronics crap (all for $1 or $2 each) and took them out to the range (bring your own targets) and went to town on everything.

It was truely a sight to behold as we took all of that stuff and reduced it to tiny pieces. We used well over 1000 rounds of ammo that day, everything from 9mm and .44mag to 5.56, .308, 30.06, to 7.62x54R. Literally, there was nothing even recognizable left from our trunkful of scrap.

It was glorious.

Actually, my buddy and I are looking into it. We've always got something we don't want anymore and needs ...'repair.' I'd love to get a small generator and a long extension cord so that these items could be running when they get hit too, like an old wintel or something... or a coffeemaker making coffee. I could even hide some tannerite in there...

That isn't an iMac.
It's an Apple CRT Monitor.
