A local pawn shop has a 3913 for sale. It has some light scratches and one of the rear site dots is no longer white, but that's not a big issue for me.
They'll only go as low as $450 on it right now. That seems high but in looking on GunsAmerica and GunBroker, it isn't out of the ballpark high.
I've successfully resisted buying it so far.

I'd like a reliable, accurate CCW weapon. I have a Kel-Tec P11 right now which has been really good but I'd feel better taking the qualifying test with a different pistol.

A CZ PO1 from Top Gun is another option. It'd be close price wise once the transfer fee is figured in, as opposed to the local sales tax I'd be paying on the 3913.

Thoughts?

$400-$500 seems to be the norm. I sold my 3913 Ladysmith a couple of years ago for $400 and wish I had it back.

Locally, $450 is a fair price for a superb carry gun. 3913's don't last long in the case or on the shelf around here. TJ

I recently got the less expensive cousin of the 3913, the S&W 908. I love the pistol, and it is great to shoot and carry so I can only imagine that the 3913 will suit your needs! Good luck!

I believe the 3913 and its cousin the 908 are vastly underrated for carry weapons. My 908 is one of my favorites, and the only reason I haven't picked up a 3913 is because I haven't run across one when I had spare cash. Put a deposit on it & don't let is slip by; you'll wind up wishing you hadn't...

Seems like a reasonable one just was listed on the
S&W forum. 3913 NL 3mags and holster for
$450 shipped.

I have a 3913 TSW from the late 1990's. I made mention of it the other day and I received to PM's from different guys wanting to buy it. One offered $500 right off the bat. I told him I didnt want to sale and he asked for a counter offer. I think what it comes down to is something is worth what someone is willing to pay. I can say if you buy I cant imagine you not being pleased. If you are it will be easy to sale. If you havent bought it by now someone probably has.

Wow. Y'all are really talking me into this pistol.

Anyone have experience how it compares to the 6906?
I know the 6906 is a high cap, double stack piece so the grip must be a little bit thicker.

The only difference between the 3913 and the 6906 is the thickness of the grips (6906 is a double stack) and the magazines.

The top ends are actually interchangeable between the two models. TJ

I had a 6906 long ago, and it felt thick. The single stack S&W 9mms feel much better.

At the price you are paying, have you held a Kahr? They feel even better in the hand than the S&Ws do....
